Hearty Baked Beans
These hearty vegan baked beans are always a huge hit at family get-togethers. Four types of beans in a sweet and zesty sauce. They are delicious as a side dish served with fresh cornbread.

Ingredients
- 4 cans beans, your choice (garbanzo, pinto, black, kidney, white, etc.) drained and rinsed
- 1 large onion chopped
- 3 tbsp cider vinegar
- 1/3 cup barbeque sauce
- 1/4 cup ketchup
- 2 tbsp yellow mustard
- 2 tbsp molasses (regular or black-strap)
- 1/4-1/3 cup maple syrup to taste
- 2 cloves garlic minced
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 2 tsp soy sauce or tamari
- 1 tsp vegan Worcestershire sauce be sure to check the label
- dash cayenne pepper (optional) to taste
- salt & pepper to taste
Instructions

Rinse and drains beans. Add to crockpot with the onion.

Combine sauce ingredients, mix well, and pour over beans and onions. Stir well. Cook on low for 4-6 hours.

Recipe can easily be doubled for a larger crowd.
