Garlic Spinach Hummus

If you love garlic, you’ll love this spinach hummus! A quick, easy and healthy appetizer. It can also be spread on pita bread for a yummy lunch.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 cups garbanzo beans or 1 (15 oz)can, drained & rinsed
  • 2 tbsp sunflower seed butter or tahini
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3-4 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tbsp water
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 1 tsp dried, minced onion
  • 1 tsp soy sauce or Bragg aminos
  • 1 packed cup baby spinach

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients except spinach in blender jar. Pulse and blend slightly, until garbanzo beans are mostly broken-up.

  2. Add 1 cup packed full of baby spinach leaves. Give the blender a whirl until well combined. If you like creamier hummus, blend a little longer.
