Chocolate Mocha Vegan Ice Cream
This dairy-free, vegan ice cream is so easy to make. Thick and creamy, your entire family will love this yummy chocolate treat!
Ingredients
- 5 frozen ripe bananas *see notes
- 1 tsp vanilla extract
- 4 tbsp 100% pure maple syrup or agave
- 4 tbsp cocoa powder
- 1-2 tsp instant coffee powder optional
- chocolate chips or nuts optional, to sprinkle on top
Instructions

Chop frozen bananas into chunks and place in blender jar. Pulse a few times to break them up a bit.

Add remaining ingredients (except chocolate chips and nuts) and blend until smooth.

Spoon into a freezer container and place in freezer 30-60 minutes until solid.
Option – you can’t skip this step and eat it right away if you prefer a softer ice cream.
Recipe Notes
Frozen bananas – when bananas start to get too ripe, unpeel and place them on a sheet of parchment paper in the freezer. Once frozen store in a ziploc bag or other container. Save them up to make vegan ice cream!
