Ingredients
Apple Filling
- 3 medium apples sweet variety
- 1 tsp lemon juice
- 1 tbsp flour
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- dash allspice
- 1 tbsp 100% pure maple syrup
Crisp Topping
- 1 cup rolled oats
- 1 tsp cinnamon
- 1/4 cup applesauce 100% fruit
- 1 tbsp 100% pure maple syrup
Instructions
-
Wash, peel, core, and thinly slice the apples (for super quick and easy prep, use an awesome apple peeler!)
-
Place sliced apples in a large bowl and sprinkle with lemon juice and stir.
-
Combine flour and cinnamon and pour over apple slices, stir. Pour 1 tbsp maple syrup over the apples and mix until well coated.
-
Pour apple filling into glass bowl (for air fryer).
-
Prepare topping by combining oats with additional 1 tsp cinnamon and 1 tbsp maple syrup. Stir in applesauce and mix well. Sprinkle over apples to cover.
-
Set Air-fryer at 350° F and bake for 30 minutes. Take a peek after about 15 minutes to be sure the topping isn't getting too brown around the edges. If it is, just stir it around a bit.
-
Serve plain for breakfast or top with homemade vegan ice cream for a tasty dessert!
Recipe Notes
Note - bake a bit longer if you like the apples to be very soft.
