CONS
A Whole Food Plant-Based Diet . . .
- completely removes all animal products from your menu. It’s not always easy to remove these items from your diet.
- requires planning and thinking ahead. While this is not necessarily a ‘Con’, it is important to plan and make sure you get everything you need in your diet. If you don’t, there is the possibility of not meeting your protein, vitamin and mineral needs.

CONCLUSION
A well-balanced plant-based diet has nutritional benefits that may help you live to a ripe old age with relatively few health problems. You do need to be careful because it is also possible to follow a “plant-based diet” that is largely junk food (chips and fries are plant-based). Processed plant-based/vegan junk food is still processed junk food.
When you stop feeding your body high-fat, high-calorie, acidic, nutrient-poor foods that cause inflammation, you’ll feel yourself getting healthier naturally! Plus, you’ll be eating less saturated fat and cholesterol and getting more fiber. When you consider the positive links between plant-based diets and lower levels of diabetes, obesity and other diseases, plus you get to enjoy really delicious and very colorful food in the process – it just makes sense to give it a try! 😊
