Olive Tapenade Hummus

The best of both worlds. Combine a variety of olives and capers with garbanzo beans and tahini to make the perfect hummus!

Ingredients

  • 1-15 ounce can garbanzo beans (1 1/2 cups) drained and rinsed
  • 2-3 cloves garlic minced
  • 2-3 tbsp tahini omit for fat-free version
  • 1/2 cup olives of your choice kalamata, green, black, etc.
  • 1 tbsp capers optional, but tasty
  • 2 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1 tsp cumin
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne powder optional

Instructions

  1. Combine all in a blender or food processor and blend until smooth.
  2. Makes 1 1/2 cups of hummus. You can refrigerate it for about a week or freeze it for longer.
