Crispy Garbanzos
These crunchy snacks are tasty alone, great for putting in salads, and super easy to make! They can be roasted in an air fryer or in the oven. It only takes 15 minutes from start to finish and you have a crispy, fat-free, healthy treat.
Ingredients
- 1 can (1 1/2 cups) salt-free garbanzos drained & rinsed
- garlic powder
- curry powder
- nutritional yeast
- salt optional
Instructions
-
Place drained and rinsed garbanzo beans in a small bowl. Sprinkle with spices and nutritional yeast.
-
Stir to coat and sprinkle on more spices.
Don’t worry about measuring the spices, just shake some on until they are nicely coated.
-
Spoon the beans into the air fryer and set the temperature to 400 degrees F.
Set the timer for 15 minutes.
-
Shake and stir the garbanzos every 5 minutes to be sure they aren’t sticking. Taste test them at 12-13 minutes to see if they are done. Continue cooking until they are just the right crispness. They will be a bit soft on the inside.
Recipe Notes
For oven roasting:
Place coated beans on a baking pan covered with a silicon sheet or parchment paper. Bake at 400 degrees, stirring every 5 minutes until crispy.
