Black Bean Taco Hummus

Black beans and taco seasoning are the perfect combo in this spicy, plant-based hummus. Serve with fresh veggies, tortilla chips or pita chips.

Ingredients

  • 1 can black beans drain and rinse
  • 3 tbsp salsa
  • 1 tbsp tahini
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 1/4 cup cilantro
  • 1 tsp low-sodium soy sauce or Bragg aminos to taste
  • 1-2 tbsp water to help with blending
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 2 tsp chili powder
  • 1 1/2 tsp ground cumin
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne or less, depending how spicy you like it

Instructions

  1. Place all ingredients into blender jar. Blend until creamy. 

  2. Sprinkle with additional cilantro and chili powder.
