This chocolate dessert hummus is a pleasant and delicious surprise! Kids love this stuff and don't even realize it's made with beans.
Drain beans and reserve the aquafaba (bean water)
Pour beans into blender and pulse a few times to start breaking them up.
Add cocoa, maple syrup, vanilla, salt, and 2 tbsp of reserved aquafaba. Pulse and blend, adding more water as necessary to help with the blending process.
Using a spatula to scrape the blender bowl to be sure all the beans are blended in well. Continue blending until smooth.
Blend in the chocolate chips or keep the chips whole by folding them into the hummus before serving.
